I'm a native English-speaking talking therapist (samtalsterapeut) based in a garden-oasis studio on Södermalm, Stockholm. I hold a BSc (Hons) in Psychology and an MSc in Psychological Therapies, both from the UK, and I'm a Graduate Member of the British Psychological Society (MBPsS) and a member of the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP).
I work with Stockholm's international community — whether you're a teenager growing up here with international parents, someone who relocated for work, or you moved for love and built a life in a new country. I grew up in Sweden with British roots myself, so I understand the strange in-between-ness of living abroad: loving a place while being far from loved ones, or not quite feeling like yourself in a second language.
Together we work through anxiety and low mood, and figure out what's keeping it going — whether that's shame, self-criticism, or rumination. You might be facing a clear life change or crisis, or something harder to name, like a persistent feeling of lostness. I also work specifically on cross-cultural challenges: loss of identity, isolation, language barriers, and the ongoing question of "being in the right place." I have particular experience with adolescents, though I work across ages.
Before moving back to Stockholm, I spent almost 10 years in the UK charity sector supporting young people through life transitions and identity questions.
I offer a free 30-minute initial conversation to discuss your hopes for therapy and whether we're a good fit — no pressure to continue. Sessions run 50 minutes, 1200 SEK, with a 10% discount on blocks of 6. Student and low-income pricing available on request. In person on Södermalm or online, wherever you are.
