How I’ve been loving myself lately… 🧡

Nourishing my body with delicious food.

Taking the time to cook. Choosing ingredients that nourish my body. And enjoy every bite it. 😋
Trusting your body is the first step, but surrendering to your body is what can transform your birth experience.

Trust allows you to believe in your body’s wisdom. Surrender allows you to work with your body instead of resisting it.

The truth is, for most people, trust in their body is conditional. We trust our bodies as long as everything goes according to plan. But birth often invites us into the unknown.

This is one of the bridges I love helping expecting parents cross before labor begins.

Together, we cultivate a deeper kind of trust - one that isn’t dependent on circumstances, but rooted in your ability to meet whatever unfolds with presence, adaptability, and self-compassion.

Birth asks for more than confidence. It asks for presence, softness, and the willingness to let go of what you cannot control.

That is where so many expecting parents have the opportunity to discover their power and true strength.
Early Sunday morning, the most adorable little girl was born.

Welcome, baby sister. Your siblings have been longing for you.

Mama, you did an incredible job. The journey was long and hard, but you stayed with it every step of the way. Your strength, determination, and love carried you through.

Every birth is unique. It doesn’t matter how many times we have given birth - we are always entering the unknown. So much can change in a very short time. Being adaptable and flexible can have a huge impact on how we experience birth.

The staff were absolutely incredible and supportive every step of the way. Every person who came on shift did their very best to help this mama have a positive birth experience.

What a journey it has been.

Congratulations to this beautiful family. It has been such an honor to witness your daughter being welcomed into the world.
Yesterday afternoon, a beautiful baby boy was born. A little brother who had been longed for.

Mama was incredible beyond words, so calm, yet fierce and determined. She held her intention close to her heart. She didn’t just want to birth in a certain way, but in a way that felt true to her.

The journey was much longer and harder than any of us anticipated for a second-time mom.

Watching her ride the intensity of the waves, resting briefly and then returning again and again, with her husband so close to her- calm, present, loving, and cheering her on—was deeply moving.
I was so touched by the way he looked at her, with so much love and admiration, holding the intensity of the experience and staying as close as he possibly could.

I still tear up when I think of her after the baby was born and her words: “It was so hard.” Yes, it was so hard and she still managed to do it all. She and her baby boy worked so beautifully together.

Their midwife was also amazing throughout, truly holding their vision and intention and doing everything she could to support them in coming as close to it as possible.

Congratulations to this beautiful family. I feel so honored and grateful to be part of their journey.
A loving reminder:

You are not in control of everything that happens in your birth or your life.

There are no guarantees in birth or in life. We can do our best, and we can create space for the unexpected by being adaptable and practicing self-compassion.

Yes, you can do everything “right” and still find yourself in a situation you never anticipated.

One mother might prepare thoroughly, have the birth she dreamed of, and feel deeply empowered. Another mother may prepare with the same dedication, make the same thoughtful choices, and still have a completely different outcome.

We want to believe that if we do everything right, we will be rewarded. But birth doesn’t always work that way. There are so many factors beyond our control, and the outcome is not a reflection of how well you prepared, how hard you tried, or how worthy you are.

I celebrate my clients not because of the outcome, but because I witness them throughout the entire journey giving their all to welcome their babies into the world. Their courage, love, presence, and resilience are what I honour.

The outcome has nothing to do with your worth.

You are worthy, always. 🧡
On Saturday morning, a beautiful and resilient little boy was born. A rainbow baby.

Labor began on Thursday morning, and despite having feared birth long before becoming pregnant, this mama met every moment with incredible courage, trust, and openness.

She stayed positive, strong, and patient throughout a long labor—moving her body, riding each contraction, and showing remarkable resilience. I was amazed by her energy and strength despite the length of her labor. Her partner was by her side every step of the way, offering love and support.

Giving birth in Sweden can feel like a lottery, as you don’t get to choose your midwife or doctor. Unfortunately, the care team we encountered during the final stage of birth was not what I would wish for any birthing person.

And yet, this mama found her inner strength to birth her son.
Her ability to rise above the circumstances still leaves me in awe.

A huge congratulations to this beautiful family. I count myself extremely lucky to know them and to have been a part of their journey into parenthood.
“Everything is going to be alright.”

I used to hope that everything would work out in my favor.

Now, I know that I also have the capacity to meet life as it shifts - with wisdom, resilience, and grace.

Increasing our capacity and shifting our perspective is where we discover our power and step into true freedom.
Sweden is so beautiful during the summer.

We moved closer to nature five years ago, and since then I’ve had no desire to spend my summers anywhere else.

We don’t get that many sunny days here, so I want to soak up and enjoy every single one of them. ☀️🥰
